New Theme: Headline Image

Hey Guys

I just started up my site, got a lot of help on here earlier today, so I thought I’d try my luck again.

Anyways, I uploaded a new theme. However, I’m not sure how to place an image in the headline area of the main page (for that new post). I think it has something to do with the custom fields. This may be painfully obvious and I’m just missing it.
