• I tried upgrading my WordPress blog “Shoe Smitten”, which is hosted on godaddy.com. (Stupid me) I’m not at all familiar with ftp or how to do this, mind you, so I diligently followed the instructions I was given by WordPress to upgrade. Needless to say, now my blog is completely gone and 3 error messages appear, including 1 fatal error. Go to shoesmitten.com to see what I mean.

    Help! I need to know how I can either install the backup files I have (specifically, what to delete and what NOT to delete) or I need to start all over somehow. I am totally lost and I just don’t know what to do.

    Thanks,
    Anna

  • Are you sure the files have been uploaded completely? You may want to re-upload the files to make sure.

    Ask Godaddy if there is any issue going right now. It seems that people using Ipowerweb are en-counting this problem because of the MySQL problem.

    Basically the error is just saying that they don’t see the file named index.php inside /home/content/s/h/o/shoesmitten/html/

    @ne-design,
    Your diagnosis is completely off… Don’t mislead people if you don’t know what are you talking about.

    All the error messages are complaining about the missing wp-blog-header.php file. Shoesmitten, make sure it is uploaded and not corrupted.

    @moshu,
    Yes your right. The missing file is wp-blog-header.php.
    Sorry for the mislead.
