Need to search custom fields

    I’m using the Custom Field Template plugin:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-field-template/

    And I need to setup my search page so that posts are displayed when their custom fields are equal to the search query.

    I’ve tried using the plugin ‘Search Everything’ but it doesn’t appear to work correctly, if I just for only one word then it works, otherwise no results are displayed!

    I’ve looked at ‘WP Custom Fields Search’ also:http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-custom-fields-search/

    But that looks like overkill for what I need.

    All I need to do is make WP search inside custom fields aswell as content! Is there not a snippet of code I can add into the functions.php file?

    I too am in a situation where I need assistance with this issue. Did either of you find a solution to this issue?

    I’m currently using Search Everything, however, I have about 8-10 custom fields per post and over 100,000 posts….needless to say the search works, however, it takes between 20-30 seconds to complete a query.
