It is not the general policy to edit or delete forum posts. When a post is made and people contribute answers to an issue, that then becomes part of the community resource for others to benefit from. Deleting posts removes this added value. In extreme circumstances, the moderation team might be persuaded to remove sensitive information but generally, your best course of action is not to publish anything that you wouldn’t want to be public.
Totally understand. This unfortunately was a bogus personal attack which added no value to the forums and was not true. Anyways it was from over 4 years ago and the situation was remedied within days and the original author asked the mods to delete it immediately and although he marked it as resolved it still remains and normally I’d just let it go, but it comes up in search engines so needed to ask. I can provide the link here, but would prefer to privately. Please let me know the best way?
Thanks.

I’m sorry, but that’s only done in extreme cases. Search engine results are never considered extreme and the post will not be edited.
