I don’t know it is a shared hosting cPanel account.
it’s not a windows host then. can you set up a test installation on the host?

I have 20 other websites on the same cPanel account and each has a wp-clone, all working fine but this one.
in that case, it sounds like a plugin or your theme is hooking onto the sanitize_file_name filter and returning an empty value.
cycle your plugins one by one and do a backup everytime you deactivate a plugin to find out which one is causing it. needless to say, start with ones that are not active on any of the other sites.
