Why did you change them? Can you change them back?
i tried, unfortunately i can’t even reach that page now. whenever i try to go to the wordpress portal, it will just prompt me back to my ugily “modified” blog
You will probably need to use phpmyadmin to reset your values.
Here is a tutorial:

i have already done that but it doesn’t work either…
Did you set both options back to without the index.php?
Try going here – maybe you’ll get lucky and still be logged in –
http://strausser.freehosting123.com/index.php/wp-admin/
(and you can go to http://strausser.freehosting123.com/index.php/wp-content/ to verify you did not, indeed, move anything – )
I think – and I’m just guessing – what happened as that the index.php is being interpreted as a directory name, not a default file; typically you won’t need to indicate index.php as the default file to open on a browser, unless you have another “index” file, like index.html or something.
drobbins – i guess you are right too :_( but it doesn’t work
what should i do now?
I had one other idea – it might be a little lengthy but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work – if you have ftp access, try creating a directory in your root directory named “index.php,” then copy your entire wordpress installation to that directory (the wp-content, wp-admin, wp-includes folders, etc). You should be able to get the admin area then – go change the site address back – then you can just delete the folders you just made … worth a shot.
drobbins – i can log in, but after i logged in, it redirects me to the blog again… and i am not allowed to make a directory named “index.php” π

Do that, and do BOTH VALUES.
siteurl and home.
thanks you guys the problem is solved!
