First of all I like your theme, it’s straight to the point, visually pleasant.
I’d make 3 remarks on your theme:
- the contrast of your links (link color/background color) is not readable by most users (check this free great tool: Fujistu Color Selector)
- you use deprecated html code with your images which you should replace by CSS: align, border
- put meaningful “alt text” on your images or mark them empty where correct – alt text like a6.gif is to be avoided – remember alt attribute is to help people who can’t see your images

I think you mean the linkcolors at the bottom of each entry? I think the links in the sidebar are pretty good readable.
About the CSS is a good point, I will replace that.
I’m using the Imagemanager plugin for wordpress for the thumbnails and it puts automatically the alt text in it. I have no idea to replace that with, for example, the title of the entry.
