Mutlisite Dashboard Selector Not Working

I recently setup multisite network for my website. I have two sites in my network using subdirectories. I want an english version of the site to be located at http://www.badgerchalet.com and a french version at http://www.badgerchalet.com/fr/.

I completed the setup fine but my problem is that when using the ‘My Sites’ drop-down to switch between dashboards, I can see and select both sites in the menu, but when I select ‘My Sites->French Site->Dashboard’ it takes me to the dashboard of the english site (www.badgerchalet.com/wp-admin instead of http://www.badgerchalet.com/fr/wp-admin).

I can manually get to the french dashboard if I enter http://www.badgerchalet.com/fr/wp-admin but then any configuration I do gets redirected to the english site.

Please help.
