Multiple Tables in a Post

In my July feature for my blog http://www.tablewine.com, I attempted to add two tables. The first was a 2 column 1 row table with an image from my media library in each cell. The second was a 2 column 10 row table with text in the 1st column and images in the the second. This is the first time that I had a small table as part of the copy that preceded the tasting notes in the 10 row table.

Everytime I tired to publish the post with the 2 tables, all that appeared was the post header/title. Nothing else.

I eventually gave up and went with a single table and that solved the problem. Can anyone provide me some explanation why this may have occured?
