Multiple pages with WordPress

    Hi all,

    I’ve just finished putting a HTML/CSS design into WordPress for the first time. Go me!

    I’m not really up to scratch with the WP architecture. So now, I have an index page (index.php), a sidebar, header and footer.

    My question: Some of the pages will have static content, and some will need to be edited by the client. If I have static text on my home page, how to I create another page with content that is editable?

    I know how to add new pages, but its almost like I have to apply a slightly new layout with editable regions. Not sure how to go about this.
