Not related that I know of. I just checked the .ORG site to use it for ‘practice’ and found the page sitting there.
That’s a host-monster page…you should ask them if you don’t want anything to show up there.
You’re actually just getting this page here:
http://gopmaui.org/
Can I work with .ORG to build the files before setting up to have it hosted? I thought I could do that with WP and have it ready to go. But there doesn’t appear to be an access to the .ORG via WP. Do I build them on my PC? How does that work.
Sorry for the beginner questions. If there is documentation or tutorials, I’m more than willing to take whatever time it need.
Thanks
That’s a HostMonster question – but generally, no, if you want a website on their server you have to pay for it. You’d have to install WordPress for that domain name if you want a separate site to practice on. Some hosts will let you have sites in sub-directories so you could ask them about that – http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
You can also use WP on your local computer – http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Installing_WordPress_on_your_own_Computer but you don’t need the domain name to do that and it won’t be accessible on the internet.
One more thing. If I build on my computer will I then be able to upload to the host when read?
