Multiple Authors? Having problems

I have a small blog I set up for a 40th HS Reunion. I have 11 users and I’ve made all of them Authors. We all want to be able to add posts to the blog to share stories.

However, when I posted while logged in as Admin the published post was credited to another user. So I deleted it. But I also have a “test” account and when I looked at that I see that deleted post in my test user account as a draft. And it’s credited to that same wrong user it was credited to in the first place.

Why would this happen? Why would a post made by “Admin” show up on the page as made by “bcorser” and why after I deleted that post would it show up as a draft in the “testuser” dashboard and still show it was created by ‘bcorser”???

What am I failing to understand about WP that’s making this happen??
