MT to WordPress questions

    Hi, not sure where to post this topic; feel free to move it where it should go. I’m currently using MT v2.661 and want to make the giant leap to WordPress. Before I make the headlong dive I have some questions. 😀
    Currently, my MT is installed on a sub-domain. Can I install WP in the same place? Will WP overwrite anything? Does WP have to be installed in another folder? Then do the whole conversion process, then move WP to the subdomain folder? And hope nothing got messed up in the process?
    Um…..I think I just gave myself a headache! >_<

    You could do the whole conversion then move it, yes.
    I would do that, get used to WP, get it all looking good, then shift things over. That way your MT install runs fine, and any niggles can be sorted away from public view.
    Having phpmyadmin on the host server would be needed for this though.

    I just checked and I do have phpMyAdmin. Thank you!!
    Now to go and play!
