MT Import Causes Formatting Errors

When I import my Movable Type posts into a fresh installation of WordPress, the formatting of elements on the single entry pages changed. Text in the sidebars becomes centered, and a green bar that normally rests behind the sidebars floats to the top. This happens to all imported pages, as well as any posts created after the MT import. Any posts that were created before the import, however, maintain their proper formatting. The main page also remains unchanged.
Any ideas on why this would happen and how to fix it?
