moving /web/wordpress

hi,

i am new with phpmyadmin and wordpress but i can get around on the linux command line pretty well. (its on a debian server)

i want to move /home/web/wordpress to /home/web/ such that i can use wordpress to mange the entire web sites content. so right now http://alonzofretwell.com/wordpress is where its at(the location given for the install instructions).

the current path on the server is /home/web/wordpress i want it to be /home/web/.

i want it to to come up with just http://alonzofretwell.com (instead of the current index page) please advise.
