Move and align sidebars

Hi,
I am currently using the theme – Dark Autumn, and though it has the option of right and left column widget, both end up appearing on the right, and also the links beneath are not identically aligned with the column heads.
I tried going through the documents but only managed to get my blog to disappear… and had to reload everything as no repair measure seemed to work!
Please help!!!
