most successful wordpress sites?

    I am wondering what the most successful wordpress sites have been? I am trying to get an idea of scalability, and how much can be built off the platform. I know about.com is done off of wordpress. Any other really successful sites?

    Who told you that about.com is done in WordPress! It’s not, only the blogs section is using WP – like many other famous websites.

    WP can be used for famous & large projects, but it’s still unreliable for managing articles-based sites with thousands of posts and over 200,000 visitors a month – at least not before version 3 or 4!

    I know Capcom and Sony use wordpress blogs.
