Most Recent post on every page

Hi there,

I’m trying to keep my most recent post (which includes custom a few fields, an excerpt, title) on every page as part of my header.

When I goto make a page in WP (ie: About) it wants to bring in the title for that instead of my most recent post.

I’m assuming I need to run another loop or query the most recent post from this particular category, but I just can’t figure it out for the life of me. I’m not amazing with handcoding PHP either

Any suggestions?
