• Hello. I’ve recently noticed two issues related to scrolling & selecting on mobile.

When scrolling through the front-end category drop down on a mobile device, the nearest row’s checkbox is selected / deselected on release. I don’t recall this being an issue prior to recent updates. It makes using that feature very tedious — any advice on workarounds prior to a fix would be appreciated.

In addition, scrolling through the back-end taxonomy lists seems to be impossible on a mobile device. The dragging feature is also unusable. I know the wp backend is usually not optimized for mobile, so this is less big of a deal than my other concern but seemed worth mentioning.

I am using Chrome on Android.

    Hi,

Indeed, I can replicate this issue on multiple test environments as well.

This might be present for a while now, as this part of the code was not touched in a few releases. I will fix this for the upcoming release.

As for the back-end usage on mobile devices – I am not sure I we can fix that unfortunately. The jQuery UI scripts are used for the drag/drop feature, and I am not sure how mobile friendly it is in general.

    Best,
    Ernest M.

    Hello,

Yes, I hadn’t updated in a little while, otherwise I’d have reported it earlier. I will keep an eye out for future updates.

Thank you for the quick response.
