• I just upgraded to 2.5.1 but now I seem to be missing all my posts in Manage Posts execpt the most recent. I change the date or category and only one post shows. I see other pages but, again, only one post shows on each page. I made sure Permalinks was set to Day and Name. All 85 posts show published next to “All Posts” but when I click they don’t appear.

I bet it’s some setting somewhere I’m missing.

All my posts appear on the website.

    Thanks,

    Tom Husband

Thanks, whooami, I appreciate it. I’ll check wp-pro out.

Yes it might help if I provided an email address. It’s tom.husband at gmail dot com.

    Thanks again for your help.

So I signed up with wp-pro and was accepted. I sent an email in asking for help but I don’t see my email and I haven’t received any replies. How long does it take for emails to appear?

In the error log on my server I’m getting:

[23-Jun-2008 23:37:47] PHP Fatal error: Class ftp: Cannot inherit from undefined class ftp_base in /big/dom/xcalifornia_travels/www/wp-admin/includes/bookmark.php on line 14

This is usually an indicator that you are missing some of the WordPress files. Are you absolutely sure that you uploaded ALL of the files?

Pretty sure. I’ll download new files tonight and try again.

    Thanks for the hint.

Thanks Otto42. That did the trick. I downloaded new files, deleted the old stuff and carefully uploaded the new ones making sure I didn’t miss anything. That must have happened the past three times because this time it took.

This time I deleted .htaccess and wp-config.php. I had a bunch of redirects in the .htaccess from an old site and I recreated wp-config.php with a new secret key.

Amazing but boy was that painful. Too bad I can’t tell what I did wrong.

    Thanks all for the suggestions.

    Tom
