Hey there! I have both PHP and CSS experience, but I’m very new to WordPress. I’m using the MH Newsdesk Lite theme as a platform to mod around on and get used to everything. So far I’ve figured out how to tweak just about everything *except* for the CSS associated with the bit of text that displays the word “TOPICS:” at the top of a post (next to the categories), and also the names of author’s down in the comments. They’re both defaulting to black, so I believe the code itself is actually missing from the theme.

I’m also assuming it’s the same bit of CSS that controls both of these… I just have no idea where to look for a bit of code that’ll add some parameters for control.

If anyone offhand knows a site, or has an example of that line of code, that’d be great!

  • please provide the url of your site and the exact section you want to style and the style your looking to accomplish. If you look in editor and at the bottom you have a styles.css file you can edit to change your css 🙂

Let me know if you need any help!

Thanks for the response. I’ve actually triple checked the CSS for any code that suggests a black font and have eliminated them all (except for the search and button text). I’m assuming the code itself is missing from the style.css because the font I described above is still black (even after removing every single black hex reference just for the hell of it).

I think all I really need is a solid example of the code that references the font style for these two elements, if anyone knows what they are.

topics and author are both white font right now. Is there another css change needed?

If this is resolved, please mark it as such!
