• I’m a n00b when it comes to import export wordpress blogs. I write blog post, but they are as silent as a Mime. So follow my progression and tell me where I screwed up and how to fix it. PLEASE and Thank you!

    1. So I created a WP site under a domain name example.com
    2. Right at the end I went to setting-general-WordPress Address (URL)
Site Address (URL and changed both to the new address example.co
    3. saved
    4. ftp to new folder location and everything looked fine-ish

I am a n00b so I didn’t export the database so I had to go in and fix any refrences to the old.com to the new.co

But somewhere my blog isn’t showing up as connected. When I choose the blog template on my theme it just shows jiberish from the theme and doesn’t find my blogs. the .rss page is jacked up.
I know there is something in the database that is probably messed up, but I am very cautious to mess with the files.
    Thanks!

  • Change the urls back. See Changing_The_Site_URL for details of how to do this correctly.

Changing the urls back won’t fix whatever problem there is in the database that isn’t finding my blog post. I can’t go back to the old.com website as I am now at the new.co website and have been working and building everything there. I just don’t know how to fix the blog problem.

None of this text is from me, it is from the theme
