Hi I am trying to run duplicator on Azure. I have had success with duplicator in the past using CPanel. I have all the correct requirements on the server:

    REQUIREMENTS click links for details
    Root DirectoryPass
    MySQLi SupportPass
    Safe Mode OffPass
    PHP Version Pass

    CHECKS
    Web Server: Microsoft IIS OK
    Open Base Dir: Off Good

But get the below error on the database:
    Host: Success
    Database: Fail
Version: This Server: [5.5.45] — Package Server: [5.5.42]

Azure are asking for futher details on the error, is there a way to find this or can you advise on how to investigate this error further?

  • Hey @scboy,

There is some sample script code on this FAQ question that you might need to try to find out exactly what creds Azure is looking for:

    -> Browse to: http://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
-> Find question: “I’m having Database issues what should I do?”

    Hope that helps!

Hi thanks for the reply, managed to get the DB connection issue sorted, turns out for some reason ClearDB created different connection string than database name on the set up so it was an error there when connecting.

Downside is I run the installer and seem to get the homepage working ok but then I get the following on every other link (including the admin page):

“The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.”

Have you any ideas why this might be happening?

That seems like a 404 issue possibly which should also be covered on the FAQ. If it randomly happens then it may have something to do with the web server restarting. Is the issue consistent on the pages that fail and the pages that work? In other words if you always to say your products page does it always fail, yet your about page always succeeds?

    Thanks
