Meta keywords

    Please could somebody tell me the importance of meta keywords. I have been looking at my source page and comparing it to my competitors and note
    that I have none and yet they have at least 10. If I was to add a piece of code putting in keywords would this affect my website adversely? I obviously don’t want to mess everything up. Would this have been the responsibility of the web designer?

    I suspect that meta keywords have little or no importance. There was a time when search engines relied on them, but now search engines take all the content into account. If you want to add meta keywords, users of your site will not notice any difference. They will certainly not mess anything up.

    You need to contact your Web designer about this, we wouldn’t know.
