Mesmerize theme comments aren’t working

    I love the Mesmerize theme, but how do I get the comment section to show up? I can see it in the code, but it doesn’t show up on the page. Here is the code from the file content-single.php:

    if (comments_open() || get_comments_number()):

    comments_template();

    endif;

    ?>

    </div>
