So when I initially set up MarketPress I I had the store and cart links in my menu as “Store” and the rest as a drop down. For some reason this has recently changed to “Order Status” and goes to an order tracking page. Though the menu in the backend is still “store” also my dropdowns have disappeared. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Hi @sremy,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

Could you please share me your site link and the screenshot of the MarketPress menus from the admin area so that i can troubleshoot it?

For screenshots, you can simply provide a link to an image through Google Drive, Dropbox, screencast.com, http://imgur.com/ or other image service. 🙂

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Vinod & Sremy,

Hi Vinod, the site is http://ddchampagnes.com/

Here is a cap of the menu in the back-end – the second store was to see if it would do it to all links or just the initial one… it’s just the one. I tried moving the sub pages down beneath the second one, but everytime I save it just goes back to how it was…

    Hi there,

Thank you for your detailed reply.

I could confirm using latest version of MarketPress plugin that in the admin area menu items are displayed as Store but in the front end it is displayed as ORDER STATUS.

I have notified the plugin developer to fix this issue.

In the meanwhile you can remove these MarketPress generated menu items from the Menus page in the admin area and create new menu items for the MarketPress pages using Custom Links.

Find more information about it on the following page.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen#Custom_Links

    Thanks,
    Vinod Dalvi

Having this issue as well. Adding custom link does nothing – the plugin commandeers that as well and it becomes Order Status again.
    Any timeline on a fix?

    Hi @saladgoat,

Thanks for your reply. We can’t give an ETA just yet but we’re looking into this.

Could you let us know how the above workaround of deleting the MarketPress generated menu items and re-creating the links yourself works for you though?

Hoping that’ll take care of it for you til this one’s sorted out by the developers.

    Thanks, David

    The workaround doesn’t work.
I already had a page (not post) called Store. It was listed on the Menu, second from last. (ie Link1 Link2 Link3 Store Link5)

After installing MarketPress plugin, the Store link is removed and Order Status link shows up at the end of the Menu (ie Link1 Link2 Link3 Link5 Order Status)

In the Menu screen, I see that the Store entry is still there, in the correct place (second from last) but now has three sub-menus attached. On investigation, all three sub-menus are for Store and point to the same URL as the main menu item. But Order Status does not display as having any sub-menu items.

I removed the Store and its sub-items from the Menu screen and saved. The Menu displayed fine, but without any link at all to the Store or Order Status or anything.

I created a Custom Link to Store and placed it in the Menu. I clicked Save and when the page refreshed, there was Store and three sub-menus – all with the title of Store and link to the same page. All designated as Custom Link.

Loading the page I see that it once again show Order Status.

I have no other way of linking to my Store if this this plugin automatically diverts the links and changes the text. Please hurry and fix this.

    Thanks!

Note: Order Status shows on the site with a link that goes to store/order-status. So it’s not even the top menu level. Makes no sense. Please fix.

I am having the same problem. I installed marketpress before the last update. it was working fine and I had the store dropdown on the main menu. I updated to WordPress 4.0 and it worked fine. When I updated the Marketpress plugin to 2.1.5.3 the store button on the main menu turned to order status. The only way I was able to get the store button back was to add more items to the menu.
Is there a problem with the Marketpress update or is it not compatible with WordPress 4.0?

Ooh, what version did you upgrade from? If it worked before, maybe we can download the older version so it works until there is a fix for this?

It was Marketpress Version 2.9.5.1 and I was using WordPress 4.0

This is when it worked well

I had a look around but I can’t see where to download an older version. The next older version available is 2.1.3 – which is waaaayyyy too old!
Maybe the developers can make 2.9.5.1 available until this problem is fixed? Or maybe knowing when the problem appeared will help pinpoint the problem and the fix is just around the corner?
    Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem. It occurred after updating from the last version of marketpress.

    Hurry and fix. Pleeeease!

I’m having the same issue. My workaround was to roll back the installation by one svn commit. I checked out and installed svn revision number 980139.

    svn checkout http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/wordpress-ecommerce/trunk/@980139 wordpress-ecommerce

As this problem seems no nearer to be fixed can the developers not just make the last version available in the meantime.

    Getting extremely frustrated!
