Members making Posts

Hi,

I have a question regarding posts. I have a large number of members as I run a forum on my site – there are no posts directly on the site, I have no blog on there and prefer it to stay that way. This week a new member made some posts on the site rather than to the forum, they required validation (but I deleted them) and now I want to make sure that it can’t happen again. I would like to know how to prevent users from making blog posts when they should just be going to the forum and posting on the threads?
