Media Library Loading Issue

    My media library won’t load. For instance, when I try to add a featured image to a post or slide, the module pops up, but then it just loads and loads, without anything actually showing up. If I try to add a new image, instead of searching within the ones already uploaded, I get an error message that says “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

    This was an issue before I updated. I updated hoping it would resolve the issue, but it has not.

    Hi, SarahIM, & welcome to the WordPress support forum. Let me first apologize for the delayed response. As volunteers, sometimes life gets in the way of being able to respond to requests for help as quickly as we’d like.

    If any of your folders contain error logs, or if your control panel has these, that would be really helpful. If you’re having trouble interpreting them, feel free to paste a sample surrounded by , i.e.,

    log entry 1
log entry 2
log entry 3

    If this occurred after an update, sometimes it indicates that files are missing. A manual upload could possibly resolve the problem. If it began occurring following the installation of a new plugin or theme, that could be the difficulty also. The best thing would be if you could find recent error log entries & let us have a look to see if they can guide our efforts.
