just to confirm, did you already follow the steps from this tutorial? – http://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/google-maps/api-key/
Yes that’s correct. I got the api key from Google and entered it into the map settings.
Not sure what the problem is because I used this plugin on a test website with exactly the same settings, theme and other plugins and it worked fine.
The website is a private forum and members have to login to view content.
Here is a screenshot of one of the events pages: http://safertogether.org.uk/members-area/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Screen-Shot-2016-07-27-at-16.24.57.png
The map doesn’t show up on the event creation form either. Here is a screenshot of the form. It just says ‘Location not found’ where the map is meant to be: http://safertogether.org.uk/members-area/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/Screen-Shot-2016-07-27-at-16.25.35.png
It’s possible this is a conflict caused by your theme or another plugin. To check if it is, can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme?
I have tried using a default WordPress theme and deactivating all plugins but still no luck.
Can you test by temporarily making Accept requests from these HTTP referrers (web sites) blank in your Google API console?
I have removed the link and the map is working now 😀
Is there a way of removing the text ‘Location not found’ on the event creation form before an address is entered?
Sorry, at the moment that’s not possible.
