Managing pages & categories

Hi guys. I’m having difficulty with a sports blog that I have just set up.

This is what I want:

– Several pages that sit in the main menu bar
– Several sub pages (different sports) that drop down from this menu

That’s easy enough to set up, but here’s where I’m having problems.

How do I get my articles to appear on the correct pages?

For instance, if I write an article about basketball, how do I tell it to automatically sit on the ‘Basketball’ page?

I understand how categories work, but I want my articles to sit on a page rather than within a category.

I hope that makes sense….
