MAMP Email Set Up

Hey folks,
I use Mamp Pro to develop wordpress sites locally. I’m running into a problem where when I register a new user on the site or try to retrieve a lost password for instance, I don’t receive any confirmation or retrieval emails from WordPress. Does anyone know how to set up email on Mamp to work with WordPress?
