    Hi there,
when i do a next line space, shift + enter or just enter, then when i press update, it goes back to how it was originally. And text and photo are all over the place, not in line…
What can i do to solve this ?
    Cheers

  • The WP editor is notorious for rearranging your layout. The only real solution is to always edit in HTML mode and never switch back to Visual.

thanks for your help. i tried it and seem to work fine.
so you should update your page after you enter the space line in HTML, and only after updating you can look at visual ??

just check on my website, when you have a photo on the left and some text, description on the right and then wana add a spage, line to add another photo with description, when there is not enough text to fill up the same gap as the photo, the next line with photo and description comes up and under the text on the right of the first text…. doesnt accept the space ? i look on HTML and it look fine, with space for each photo and text, but doesn’t apply online…
    cheers

    Link to your site?

    link to my website. http://www.windandsea.co.nz.
if you check under shop, new boards, blankforce, construction information. you will be able to see what i mean….
    cheers

You are missing closing and opening paragraph tags between the two sections, so the ‘CONCAVE BOTTOM’ and ‘3D ABSORPTION’ parts are in a single paragraph.

Try using the HTML mode and putting in the missing tags like this:

    board and cleans the chop.<br></p><p>

thanks for the code, i tried and seem to work but now i have the 3 picture that does this, so i tried putting the code after each paragraph but still doesnt work. And on wordpress, it looks all over the place, the pictures are not in line at all….
i’ve got the same problem for the page blankforce boards, under shop….
    cheers

The page you first mentioned looks right to me in IE8. The WP Visual editor is NOT WYSIWYG! Things will often look different in the editor than on the screen.

Just be sure you have matching opening and closing tags around each set of information.

The Foxfire browser, with the Firebug addon, is indispensable for doing this, IMHO.
