• Hi,
I have a strange problem: 2 months ago I made some changes to a customer’s website. Changes took some hours, so I downloaded and installed the plugin “wp maintenance mode” by Designmodo. When I finish, I turned it off and everything worked well.

3 days ago, my customer asked to me to transfer the website to another hosting, so I made backups, downloaded the file and then uploaded on new service; exported and then imported the database: ALL is working well and ALL the contents are ok (pages, links, articles, …).

The only exception is the home page in the FRONTEND, which shows the splash page configured 2 months ago with the “wp maintenance” plugin, but in the BACKEND, the home page is perfect, with the images, content, etc

I checked the plugin settings and naturally it is disabled. I also tried to erase it completely, clear the cache, try different browser, etc, but the website always shows the splash page. I also read other threads and try some solutions, but without results…

Anyone have any suggestions? I have access to FTP, db, etc.

PS There isn’t “.maintenance” file in root…

    Thank you!

  • Hi Edmond,

Could you please share the link to your website if it’s possible? Normally I would say the problem is in the cache, but if you said you cleared it, that rules it out.
