Main Menu Nav
-
Hi People,
Love this theme!
And having a problem with the Main Nav … it stopped behaving earlier today. I select in Customzr the menu I am using and pffft it gets bumped out and I visit site and I get the Add A Menu notice … crikey.
I have reinstalled WP several times. I have deleted the Customizr theme and re-downloaded and re-installed the theme. I clear my browser constantly of history and I do the ipconfig /flushdns so my readings/viewings of the site are as clear and fresh as possible.
If this is a conflict with a plugin, which I did delete earlier today, wouldn’t the reinstalling WP overwrite any nonsense caused by the plugin, if that’s my problem?
Thanks people,
B

UPDATE: 2014-02-10 / Monday / 9:00 PM EST / -5UTC
SETTING: Working in the main website, on the menus with Optimizr Theme present, with plugins I could not part with present.
RESULTS: Menu is now completely rebuilt. Menu saves are faster. Drag and drop feature behaving very nicely, and faster I must say. Page loads are faster. Tested adding new page to the far right-hand position on the main nav menu; working.
At this point, I believe having the menu item present with no actual page linkage, caused the scripts to hang, and again, I am a layperson when it comes to this, but that is my best assessment. A menu item in an unused menu lost its page linkage, how, maybe I deleted the page for some reason, this caused a big problem with the menu navigation. The menu problems seem to have resolved.
To summarize, the menu item had to be found, then deleted. Both menus that contained a reference to that same page had to be deleted. One could argue that just the conflicting menu item could have been removed. I chose to wipe out two whole complete menus of the site, Menu-Desktop-One and Menu-Desktop-Two, just to be thorough.
All is well. This ticket is resolved. Thanks everyone.

PS – SPECIAL NOTE: This menu nav problem was NOT RELATED to the Optimizr Theme.
