    Hi there,

    I’m trying to setup the mail-function, but there is one problem. When I test the mail settings, it marks that the mail has been send successfully, but I don’t get the test-mail on my account. No-matter I use php or wp-mail.
    I tried to setup the smtp function. I filled out every dialog with the corresponding informations, but when I tried to sent a test-mail, I got an error.

    Right now I’m using wp offline on a test-server (over MAMP). Could this be the reason for the problems?

    it might be, maybe you can try to test your installation using online servers?

    try smtp and gmail, that’s what I use for local testing

    another alternative is the smtp mail plugin and then choose WP_Mail, then all your local wp emails get sent, not just for EM
