• Hi,

Hope someone can help. I’m using the Lysa theme and am unable to remove “Comments” from each page.

I’ve tried deleting the code from comments.php but that doesn’t seem to work. If that is the only way to remove comments could someone tell me the exact code that needs to be removed?

    Thank you

  • Did you turn comment off in the dashboard? You can do it individually and bulk.

    Hi

There’s no option to do this through the dashboard. The only option I have is to “Configure recent comments”. I’ve changed the number from 5 to zero, but still the comments box and “[DATE] NO COMMENT” appears under the title of each page.

Anyone know if I can configure this through altering the php? If so, where do I need to be looking?

    p.s. my site is http://www.beauty-secrets.co.uk

    Thanks

    Claire

    You don’t have dashboard >settings >discussion >default article settings?

You can also go to dashboard posts, highlight all, bulk edit and turn comments off.

    All of these are unchecked:

Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article.
Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks.)
Allow people to post comments on new articles

and still comments option appears. I’m about to give up with this theme! Shame, as it looks quite good

    Thanks
