looking for a database plugin

I’m developing a site that functions similar to http://www.paperdue.com/. Although what we are selling is different (architectural plans), the site should contain all the same features. Is there a theme it plugins someone can direct me to so I can begin creating this site? Is there a plugin to create the database function? I’m not really sure how this works but I want to learn.
