So when a user clicks the “read more” link at the bottom of a post, this solution will cause him/her to have to enter a password for a password-protected post. Is that right?
Close, but not quite what I’m looking for. I don’t want to have to provide passwords for individual posts. Instead, when the “read more” link is clicked, I want one of two things to happen: either
(a) the unregistered user is asked to register in order to view posts, or
(b) the registered user is asked to login to view the rest of the post.
Does that make sense? Let me know if you come across something that will help me do that.
Thanks for the info though!
Any other advice on this?
I am using the Advanced Registration plugin, which works just fine. The only issue, of course, is that anyone can view the posts through the “read more” link – without having to login or register. I want registered Members only to be able to view the rest of the post.
Thanks in advance for all your help!
Afraid I dont know more, without actually coding another solution for yourself or finding a plugin that may possibly do this.
WordPress as I can understand it cant do it by itself, some extension is required. You might try posting something in the plugins forum and see if anyone does have such a plugin.
Thanks a bunch! I’ll try that!
