login problem

I have had my wp installed and setup. All good. When I go to login to change passwords and do work on it I get this message:

This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

Have I neglected to set something up or what’s up? What could be the reason for this display. Obviously I can’t get in to change anything,or do I need to do something else?
