Have you cleared your browser’s cache as well? If that doesn’t help, replace wp-login.php with a fresh copy from the download.
that happened to me when i installed the Blacklist plugin. Something was wrong with the way it was installed, so i just deleted the database and started over (it is a new site, only 3 articles posted.) i reinstalled and everything went okay.

I tried clearing the cache, didn’t work. In IE and in FireFox.
Nope, but I screwed with the Hello Dolly plugin to have the lyrics to songs from the musical RENT instead of Hello Dolly.
I’ll replace to wp-login page and see how that works, thanks.
I’m having the exact same problem… I tried wiping the db and reinstalling everything twice, plus reuploading wp-login.php, to no avail. I didn’t install any plugins. When I put in ‘admin’ along with the password, the page simply reloads. (Interestingly, I have the opposite problem until I clear my cookies and cache– i.e., when trying to log _out_ from the admin screen it also simply reloads the screen, without actually logging out. ) I know this isn’t a problem with me having my password incorrect, because when I type in an incorrect password along with ‘admin’, it both reloads _and_ tells me that my password is incorrect. Otherwise, it just reloads the login page. Anybody know what’s up? Thanks! -Dan
Same problem here… this is very frustrating–I am finding more and more “little” problems with this tool after I have spent waaay too much time configuring it all to my liking. Once I get one thing fixed there’s something else. I can’t log out nor can I log in. (Doing each on different computers in different browsers.) Tried clearing cookies and cache, with no luck. I cleared my cookies/cash in PC/Mozilla and was allowed to log out. Then, it wouldn’t let me log back in! I don’t dare log out of my main account on my Mac or I’ll lose access to my blog forever, apparently. Tried uploading a fresh wp-login.php and no go.
This is bad–I’m really upset here. I’m afraid I’m going to have to start all over here unless someone has a solution.
