Since I haven’t heard back in a week, I’m guessing the problem was resolved – feel free to post again if not.

Unfortunately the problem wasnt resolved….it would be much better if u post me a link to the previous version of your plugin so that I can download and use it. Thank you πŸ™‚

…All previous versions of this plugin are in the same place as for every other plugin on wp.org (http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-fb-autoconnect/developers).

But that’s not a really solution to the problem. As per the FAQ I linked, you should try disabling your other plugins & theme; I’m 99% sure your issue is being caused by something else you have installed.

Thank you Justin_K, I tried deactivating every other plugin but couldn’t find a fix for the issue. Finally,I installed ver:3.0.1,by uninstalling the latest version, that could do the trick. It would be great if you could look up for the bugs in the latest version of the plugin, in terms of the redirecting problem that I had.

I don’t know what you mean “that could do the trick.” Does that mean it fixed it or not? Because then you go on to say I should look for bugs in the latest version.

What I meant was version 3.0.1 fixed the problem……latest version is having problem, that you may need to fix πŸ™‚

I honestly still don’t know what you’re saying. You say it fixed the problem, but then it’s having problem. So did it fix the problem or is it having the problem?? If it fixed the problem, then what other problem are you trying to report??

    Thread Starter rakshithvbharani@gmail.com

    (@rakshithvbharanigmailcom)

My problem is fixed by downgrading to version 3.0.1.
The latest version (3.1.0) is having the redirect problem, which redirects to the wordpress wp-login.php page upon selecting login with facebook,so that needs to be fixed. Please let me know if you are having trouble understanding what I said πŸ™‚

Ohh, I get it. Sorry, totally my fault – for some reason I was thinking 3.0.1 is the latest version. Apologies.

That’s weird though, because still not one other user has reported any issues with the latest version. You said you tried it with your other plugins disabled, but not with the default theme… (?)

haha, not a problem! “Downgrade” is an important word πŸ˜€ I didn’t try with the default theme because if I try to do so the theme settings and other visual appearances for my site becomes hampered.Since downgrading has fixed the problem I didn’t have a need to try! but I’m pretty positive that same issue might be replicated even with the default theme aswell.

Never been reported by anyone else, and it’s not happening on my main site nor my fully default test site.

Ok then ! anyway the problem is fixed for me,thanks for your support πŸ™‚

Hi, I’m having exactly the same problem.

I’m using WordPress 3.5.2 and WP-FB-AutoConnect 3.1.2. If I click “Login with Facebook” the FB dialog popups as normal, but after that it goes to the wp-login.php page, but doesn’t load anything. This happens in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome, even with all other plugins off and the default theme. I have also reproduced the problem on a second computer.

Firebug hits an error in static.ak.facebook.com/connect/xd_arbiter.php on line 13. The error is “JSON.parse: bad control character in string literal” and that seems to be the problem.

If I use WP-FB-AutoConnect 3.0.1, it works perfectly.

I also tried deleting my facebook app and regenerating it, but no luck!
