• This is the second time I am posting this message. I posted it several days ago but got no response. This software is great and it is behaving fine with gallery 2 with the exception of this login problem. Thanks

I am using wordpress 2.0 . When trying to login in both mozilla and internet explorer I cannot login. At first I will point to browser to http://192.168.0.40/wp-login.php . after hitting login the address bar will read http://192.168.0.40/wp-login.php/wp-admin/ . When I continue to hit the login bottun it will continue to append /wpadmin to the address add infenitium. If I change the address in the address bar to http://192.168.0.40/wp-admin/ it brings up the dashboard. This behavior has been repeated on several users machines. can this be fixxed? Please advise

Well, I have a similar problem. Some days ago I removed the cookies from my pc. Now I need to login in order to make new entries in my WordPress-made blog, but it’s impossible: when I enter “admin” and my password, and hit the login button, the navigator goes blank. I can´t enter in my administrator page!!

I use explorer 6.0, and have my blog hosted in orgfree.com

And the same with mozilla firefox 1.5 🙁

    BTW, I’m using WordPress 1.5

I too was locked out of my wordpress for a spell. Even after going through the change password spiel via email, with the password reset to the new one — I was still locked out. I tried it in both browsers same result. I went into phpadmin and manually changed the passsword — no dice. I rebooted and it worked fine…

I don’t understand what happened, but at least its working now. Just a FYI. I dunno how to help you except to try the phpadmin pw change manually (although it sounds like the PW is not the issue for you).
