Hello all

My website is currently having issues that are surely caused by WordPress or a plugin in WordPress.

Sometimes, when I log in, I don’t get taken to the dashboard, I simply remain on the login screen, but I recieve and email saying that I’ve been logged in. Once I do get in, I am only logged in on that tab – in new tabs I am not logged in. This means I can’t preview drafts or use the theme customiser. This is particularly frustrating as I can’t remove some feature of the theme that are not working in the header.

Does anyone know what this might be?

Well, WordPress doesn’t send emails to notify you that you have logged in, so I’d suspect a plugin for sure.

Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
