• Resolved drawntonature

    (@drawntonature)

Im trying to optimize my site and now its slower than ever. According to GTMetirix I had an issue with render-blocking and I turned on ‘Load CSS Asynchronously’. This action corrupted the front end from loading correctly.

I would like it to function and enable the ‘critical css’ and ‘Inline CSS Async Lib’ tabs to see if that helps.

I could pay support but I could pay the same money and but WP Rocket which has very good reviews.

Can someone help me to fix this error before I finally give up, please.

I tried the troubleshooting page but I got stuck.

    Thanks

    Thread Starter drawntonature

I did look at it. I went on to test my site out and noticed a glitch. I uninstalled the plugin and started again.
I found a conflict switching on ‘Load CSS Asynchronously’.
Not quite the same, as you say.
    I was side tracked.

First of all, correct the link to your website. It is wrong!

Second, Gtmetrix complains issues with render-blocking resources. This is not the primary problem. As I already told you in other thread you have a lot of external sources included, like Google, Facebook and so on. These external sources block page rendering and as a result of this all other requests will be blocked and causes render-blocking. You may not isolate each fact from all others. Every test is in relation to other tests and if you change one fact, others are also affected.

So if you want to get a better score, remove the big brakes like Google & Co. and all other are getting better. As long as you don’t remove these brakes nothing can be done to make anything better.
