    Hi,

I’m moving to a new web hosting which supports LiteSpeed Cache (VentraIP.com.au) but I couldn’t get the plugin to enable. It keeps giving me the warning “The functionalities here can not work due to LiteSpeed cache is disabled. How to fix it?” on the page.

Have tried deleting the advanced_cache.php and reactivating the plugin but it still doesn’t work. Have contacted the webhost but they seem to be clueless as well and thought that it might be caused by my WordPress installation (I have the actual wordpress files under a folder, not at the root)

If you can help out that’d be great.

    LiteSpeed Report:
    Report number: IOXXRPIJ
    Report date: 07/26/2018 09:20:30

I’m using a Windows hosts file workaround on the domain because I’m still working on it. Wondering if the plugin doesn’t work that way and only work on a “live” site?

PS: Sent an email to bug@litespeedtech.com earlier, sorry for the duplicate

    Cheers,
    Mike

    Hi,

Please try uncheck adv-cache option and see how it goes.

Ohh is it under Advanced->Check Advanced Cache->Include advance_cache.php? I unticked it and the plugin now works! Have also tested using the browser’s developer tools and see a cache hit header

From the description on the option, it doesn’t seem to be important (unless if I stupidly install another caching plugin), so I’m happy with the solution. Any possibility on why this option might fail on the server? (to see if I can fix it if it’s a permission issue of some sort)

    Thanks for the prompt reply!

    Hi,

That option is generally used when you have multiple cache plugin so you can control which one should take effect.

Although we have workaround solution for this, but still I’d like to check and debug it if you would like to help us on this.

    Hi,

Sure, I’m happy to help out as much as I can. Let me know what you’d like me to do? I may not be able to leave the cache disabled for a long time though (in the past, I got Internal 500 error within the hour or two whenever my caching was not working and my old hosting suspended account :))

But if it’s only for a bit so you can get some debug log or testing things, I’m happy to help, just let me know!

The site, cravingtech.com, is live now with the workaround if you want to investigate the headers, etc

I’ve actually already submitted a ticket before I posted here (Ticket #220150). Someone just replied (I assume it’s you?) I guess we’ll continue there via emails/ticketing system. Thanks!
