Link problems

    Hello,

    I just did a fresh install of wordpress 3.6 (Installed on a windows 2008 server 64 bit) with wamp server 2.4, that works fine :).

    Now i’m taking my old site(wordpress)and importing everything in the new server, change links from domain name to localhost etc…

    My problem is most of my links are broken, the server do not find any pages or posts only home page show and not showing properly. I’ve red about permalink and also rewrite_mod for Apache but i’m lost whit all the possible options…

    Can anyone help me ??

    I’ve tried Velvet and does not work. Velvet show me he have change all the links and then a run searchreplace21 and tells me that he also change all the links and i go verify in the database and all my links are changed but not with Velvet

    Very long explanations could be written, one of them being the solution to your issue, it’s not even really hard, only : lengthy.

    And consider the time it would take you to have it fixed, since this is a brand new blog apparently, why not simply install your blog to the production server from scratch ? I think the customization time would take shorter than issuing the “why the hell doesn’t it import everything okay ?!?” current mess 🙂
