    Hi,

I have been using WP for about 25 years, but I am not an expert. I remember my installations always working well, until about a year ago, when the LIKE button started showing intermittently, and I started getting ‘You have to be logged in to share’ type messages more and more frequently. I assumed they were a bug, and would be fixed in time.

Well, a year or more later, and these ‘bugs’ are driving me up the wall! I get told 3-4 times a session to log in every day! Logging in doesn’t solve the issue. Today, share buttons (FB, X and the like) are displaying my homepage, not that of the soc media.

How can this annoying, distracting, irritating state of affairs be remedied, please?

    Best wishes,

    Owen

I think you have a completely different problem with your website. When I open it, I first see the layout, then it disappears and I no longer see any styling.

The reason seems to be the “Web Worker Offloading” plugin you are using. It appears to load a lot of data and something is wrong with it. Try deactivating this plugin to see if it changes the behavior.

If not, try deactivating “LiteSpeed Cache” as well to rule that out as the cause.

One more thing about the social icons: they apparently come from the Blocksy theme you are using. I would therefore recommend contacting their support team: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/blocksy/

    Hi Threadi,

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply, although I can’t say that I understand much of it 🙁
1] “Web Worker Offloading” plugin – I don’t use one. I don’t even know what one is, unless it’s Boost in Jetpack.
2] “One more thing about the social icons: they apparently come from the Blocksy theme you are using. I would therefore recommend contacting their support team: https://wordpress.org/support/theme/blocksy/” – the social icons are activated from Jetpack – I am 100% sure of that.

    Best wishes,

    Owen

    Hi Threadi,
I ran the thread through AI.
We did a few test, and discovered that both Blocksy and Jetpack were delivering soc med buttons.
This was prob causing a conflict, so I have turned the Blocksy buttons off.
    Here’s hoping 🙂

    Regards,
    Owen
