Lightbox and NextGen slideshow in Chrome

    I have been using NextGen within WordPress for years without problems. Suddenly, the Lightbox and slideshow link do not work anymore in Chrome. Clicking on one picture, it only opens that picture with no option to scroll or any arrows. The slideshow link goes to a blank white box with “[show thumbnails]” to go back but no pictures showing.
    In Safari, the Lightbox works but not the slideshow option.
    Does anyone know how to fix this?
    I am using NextGen version is 2.0.79
    If I switch to NextCellent, would this resolve the issues? Would all my galleries be deleted when switching?
