• I can’t seem to figure this out and would really appreciate some help,

I want to have several lightbox slideshows on a page. I would like each one to be represented by a single thumbnail that the user clicks on to see that series of photos. Clicking on the second thumbnail on the page would bring up a different series of pix in the lightbox.

The closest I am is that the lightbox and pix look pretty good. The problem is that every picture in the series is displayed on the page and you can click on any one to start the slideshow.

Also, have tried several “multiple gallery” plug-ins and can’t seem to make them work.

Am I just trying to do something that can’t be done?

    Thanks!

    wow. no one?

So what is it? is this impossible? Or have I pissed everyone off somehow?

guess I should look at paid support

Nextgen Gallery is going to be the closest thing to what you’re looking for, but like you said, it will want to display all the thumbnails on the page. What you’re asking for isn’t trivial, you’re loading a slideshow on the fly with some decently complex javascript based on which photo a user clicks. I’d recommend hiring someone if you don’t feel very comfortable with WordPress development and js/jquery.

I feel your pain. 6 days ago your first post. I wish I could help buddy. I’m in the same boat, well frustration wise.

Although your issue seems more complicated. A slideshow, but when you click an image, it would bring up another series of images related to the image they clicked. Sounds genius to me. But no idea how to implement such a thing.- Best of luck
