Left Side and Featured Image

Good Morning!

I’ve only recently started my blog, so please bear with me, and don’t mind my messy blog. Here’s a link: http://www.sweeterreads.com/

I am using a child theme.

I’m happy with the ride side bar, but not the left.

#1. I need some more white space on the left side of the featured image just like there is on the right side. When you look at a single post, like this: http://www.sweeterreads.com/2015/05/27/review-i-am-pilgrim-by-terry-hayes/, it’s not even.

#2. I’d like the content area, in the case of my blog…where I write my reviews…that area to be wider. I’m thinking 20px, but I’ll have to see how it looks.

If anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it.
